Samsung’s 2026 QLED and Mini LED TVs Boast AI Soccer Mode

Samsung has unveiled four new TV models for 2026 — the QLEDs QN80H and QN70H, and the mini LEDs M80H and M70H — which will bring a specialized soccer mode in time for the World Cup. Prices start at $350.

The new QLED range, which includes the QN80H and QN70H, features mini LEDs with Quantum Dots for more colors, and in sizes from 43 to 100 inches.

Meanwhile, the M80H and M70H use a Mini LED backlight, and these are joint successors to the U8000 we reviewed in 2025. The ranges feature “bright, accurate colors paired with cinematic contrast” and will also be available in sizes from 43 to 100 inches. In addition, Samsung says the new 100-inch M90H is coming later in the year.

Samsung’s AI Soccer Mode recognizes the game on screen and optimizes settings for a “stadium-like experience right in your living room.” It’s available on all TVs except the M70H, which has a more generalized Soccer Mode.

I saw the AI Soccer mode in action, and it’s designed to make the ball’s movement clearer and the grass greener. It was like watching TV in Vivid mode, with an exaggerated green pitch and hyped reds. During the brief demo, I found the ball moved too quickly to tell whether there was any actual benefit to motion.

All of the new TVs, bar the M70H, also include the Samsung Vision AI Companion with Bixby. The companion enables features like the AI Sound Controller, which lets you elevate different parts of the soundtrack — whether it’s dialogue or background noises.

The QN80H, QN70H and M80H feature the Motion Xcelerator 144Hz for supporting PC gaming, while the M80H adds DLG 240Hz for “even faster response times and smoother motion.”

The TVs boast a number of streaming features, via Tizen OS, including gaming streaming and the FAST TV Plus service. In addition, the company offers Live Translate, with an expanded number of languages, when watching programs via Samsung TV Plus or OTA. The company also guarantees up to seven years of Tizen OS updates with each TV.
