Shark’s BlastBoss turns sweeping into a 190 mph blast of air

Shark has launched the BlastBoss, a compact handheld air blower that delivers up to 190 mph of airflow and crosses the line between outdoor leaf clearing and everyday indoor cleaning.

Weighing just under 1.5 pounds, the BlastBoss is a lightweight device that comes equipped with three attachments for multiple uses.

Those attachments include an extension wand for directing air under furniture and appliances, a precision nozzle for focused cleaning in tighter spaces like window tracks, and even a clever broom attachment that works alongside the airflow to enhance sweeping efficiency.

Controlling the BlastBoss is simple, thanks to its speed trigger that adjusts the intensity of the air flow and allows the device to vary from a gentle air flow for indoor use to up to a whopping 190 mph for outdoors.

Although Shark does promise the BlastBoss can see up to 49 minutes on a single charge, do keep in mind that the figure will vary depending on the speed mode used.

A crowded but evolving category

Essentially, the BlastBoss is a multi-functional leaf blower, a category that has seen a quiet design revival in recent months. In fact, we’ve seen the likes of Hoto releasing a futuristic blower last November while the Tone T1 debuted at CES 2026 with a design its creators claim runs up to 40% quieter than competing models.

Shark’s approach leans into versatility rather than raw power – though that might sound surprising given it can reach a top speed of 190mph. Even so, the BlastBoss targets users who want a single lightweight tool that’s capable of handling seasonal yard work and routine household cleaning without needing to own separate devices for each task.

At $149.99/£129.99 and available in five colours, including Charcoal, Dove, Strawberry, Sky and Sage, the BlastBoss is designed not to stand out as a cleaning tool but rather sit as more of a lifestyle product instead.
