Coachella Week 2: How to Watch Justin Bieber, Karol G for Free This Weekend

Coachella’s sold-out event is set to wrap up this weekend, with more than 150 performers like Disclosure, Teddy Swims, Pink Pantheress, Justin Bieber and Karol G among the top attractions. Expect more viral moments like Bieber’s nostalgic YouTube video set and surprise guest artists.

Around 125,000 music fans are estimated to be at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, during the music festival, which spans two weekends: Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12 and Friday, April 17 to Sunday, April 19.

All is not lost if you missed out on a $550 ticket. Here’s our guide to watching your favorite acts from the comfort of your home on YouTube, without the hassle of annoying influencers, Coachella Cough and exorbitantly priced food and water

Who is headlining Coachella 2026?

There’s a definite pop flavor to this year’s main acts performing at the Empire Polo Club. Sabrina Carpenter tops the bill both Fridays, marking the second time the singer has performed at the festival. She debuted her smash hit Espresso at Coachella on the same day it was released, back in 2024.

Justin Bieber headlines both Saturdays, marking the Canadian singer’s first full-length performance since he was forced to cancel a world tour four years ago due to health concerns. Bieber’s set is likely to keep drawing from his Swag albums, along with past runs for Justice and Believe.

Both weekends will close out with a reggaeton party, with Grammy-winning global star Karol G headlining on each Sunday. The Colombian star, who will be making her second Coachella appearance, is the first Latina to headline the iconic festival.

Who else is performing at Coachella this year?

Arguably one of the most anticipated performances has come from Young Thug, with the Atlanta rapper making his first major festival appearance since the conclusion of his high-profile legal battle. He’s due to debut tracks from his brand-new album that’s titled DBC (Day Before Coachella).

Pusha T and Malice’s recent reunification as Clipse will continue with a slot on Sunday, while DJ Snake is among the superstar DJs getting the Quasar stage jumping.

While it’s fair to say the festival isn’t quite the alternative music-focused event it once was, there’s no shortage of guitar-orientated acts hitting the stages in Indio, including some big names making high-profile comebacks. New York indie stars The Strokes will play new tracks from their soon-to-be-released album, Reality Awaits, while The xx make their live US return after almost a decade away.

Veteran stars Iggy Pop and David Byrne are playing both weekends, with Byrne at the Outdoor Theatre and Iggy set to appear on the Mojave stage.

Elsewhere, there’s major girl-band energy from BINI, with the eight-piece group set to become the first Filipino act to play the festival. Meanwhile Katseye will be making one of their first appearances since the departures of band members Hybe and Geffen.

How to stream Coachella 2026 for free

The great news for music fans is that YouTube will once again be broadcasting this year’s festival live around the world for free. The streaming platform will be showing performances from seven of the festival’s stages simultaneously, allowing viewers to flick between acts as they happen.

Head to YouTube’s dedicated Coachella channel, or dock yourself at one of the stages listed here to watch:

What’s new with YouTube’s coverage for Coachella 2026

The great news for those watching on a large screen TV at home is that this year’s coverage of the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre and the Sahara Stage will be livestreamed in 4K for the first time, while a multiview option will let you watch up to four stages at once while letting you switch between audio feeds.

Dance music fans be able to watch the Quasar stage in both horizontal and vertical formats, with the vertical feed set to be shot on a Google Pixel handset. This year also sees the introduction of Coachella TV, a 24/7 YouTube feed that features both past performances from the festival as well as highlights from this year’s event.

You can find a full schedule for Coachella 2026 here, and you can also choose to download the official Coachella Livestream app for Android or iOS to plan your schedule and receive alerts and reminders for stage times.

ZDNET’s key takeaways

  • Amazon is reportedly developing a new Fire Phone.
  • The previous model had several issues, including an inferior app store experience.
  • Under new supervision (and with more experience), Amazon can do better this time.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I certainly didn’t have “new Amazon smartphone” on my 2026 bingo card. As it turns out, according to Reuters, the retailer may be developing a new smartphone, internally known as “Transformer.”

Those familiar with the industry will instantly draw parallels to Amazon’s previous smartphone effort, the Fire Phone from 2014. Appropriately, that phone ended up as part of a fire sale about a year later.

Now, in 2026, with no fewer than five phone brands in the US — Apple, Samsung, Google, Motorola, and OnePlus — Amazon faces a lot of competition. In fairness, it also has two fewer platforms to compete against. In 2014, Windows Phone and BlackBerry were still very much part of the smartphone conversation; these days, not so much.

The AppStore problem

But there’s one mistake Amazon made in its first effort that will absolutely torpedo its chances at succeeding — the Amazon AppStore and specifically the decision to forego Google Play services. Google is simply too valuable in too many lives to not support the platform. Oh, and the Amazon AppStore is terrible.

Also: What’s right (and wrong) with the Amazon Fire Phone

It has admittedly been a few years since I last inventoried the Amazon AppStore, but when I last checked, the Amazon AppStore was a wasteland of half-supported or unsupported apps, with two notable exceptions. Finance, home control, and communication apps were either absent or had not received updates for years prior.

The only apps in the Amazon AppStore that remained up to date were productivity apps (largely powered by Microsoft) and streaming apps. Those two categories work very well on the cheap, underpowered hardware that Amazon usually launches, and that’s fine. A coffee-table tablet is a nice thing to have lying around.

A spark of hope

But a phone is another animal entirely. If a tablet is a device to entertain, a phone is a device for everything else. One of the key reasons Windows Phone failed was its lack of an app ecosystem. The Senior Vice President of Devices and Services,  Panos Panay, is very familiar with that saga, so I’m hopeful that he will make the same arguments to the powers that be at Amazon.

Honestly, if there is anyone who I think can pull off an Amazon phone revival, it’s probably Panay, who understands design and product development better than most, and to be perfectly honest, he’s my absolute favorite product presenter.

Also: Amazon Fire Phone review: Not a great smartphone

Of course, all of this is early days. This phone is being worked on internally, and even Reuters reports that it could get the axe long before it sees the light of day. Personally, I’m intrigued by the idea, but I sincerely hope that Amazon doesn’t make this the shopping phone it tried to build in 2014.

If Amazon just wants to make a nice, well-built smartphone, with a skin that pushes Amazon content to the fore, I’m fine with that. But leaving Google behind is a mistake that Amazon cannot afford to make again. Fool me once, and all that.

So, if this phone is to have a chance at success, it needs to embrace Google services so it can be a phone that everyone can use. Amazon has the brand power to make a phone like this work, even up against juggernauts like Apple and Samsung, but it needs to approach this correctly, lest it end up in yet another Fire phone fire sale.
