Apple may not be done revealing everything coming to iOS 27.
While the company spent much of WWDC 2026 focusing on Apple Intelligence, Siri AI, and broader software upgrades, a new report suggests there are still a handful of features waiting in the wings. These features are expected ahead of iOS 27’s full release this autumn.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has three more features in the works that didn’t make an appearance at WWDC. These are a new Apple Watch face, a redesigned Camera app, and expanded support for third-party AI chatbots within Siri.
The most interesting of the three could be the planned chatbot integration. Apple already allows Siri to hand certain requests over to ChatGPT. However, Gurman reports that iOS 27 could eventually support additional AI assistants, including Gemini and Claude. If that happens, users may be able to choose which AI model handles their requests. This would let them avoid relying solely on Apple’s own technology.
Changes coming to the camera app, too
Apple is also preparing a more customisable Camera app. While the feature isn’t currently available in the developer beta, Gurman previously reported that it could allow users to choose which controls appear within the app. Users could also choose their position. The timing would make sense too. Apple is also about to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro later this year.

The final rumoured addition is a new Apple Watch face, which could arrive alongside the next generation of Apple Watch models. Previous reports have suggested Apple is developing a simplified version of the Modular Ultra watch face. This face is currently exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra. As a result, this would potentially bring some of its information-rich design to a wider range of devices.
Apple has not officially confirmed any of these features, and the company has yet to explain why it left them out of its WWDC presentations. However, if the report proves accurate, iOS 27 may still have a few surprises left before its public release.
That would add to an update that already introduces Siri AI, deeper Apple Intelligence integration across apps, new productivity tools and expanded personalisation features throughout the operating system.
