The Nespresso Vertuo Pop coffee machine is 50% off – now just £99

Nespresso has never really needed a sale to shift units, which makes a genuine half-price offer on one of its most accessible machines worth paying attention to.

The Nespresso Vertuo Pop with Aeroccino3 milk frother has dropped from £199 to £99 for Prime members, a 50% saving.

With a full 50% discount, the Nespresso Vertuo Pop stands out as one of the best coffee deals this Prime Day.

The Centrifusion technology at the heart of the Vertuo Pop reads the barcode on each capsule and adjusts the brewing parameters automatically, which means the machine is doing the calibration work so the person using it does not have to.

That extends across six cup sizes from a 25ml Ristretto up to a 355ml XL Coffee, with each size served at the touch of a single button and the used capsule ejected automatically once brewing is done.

The Aeroccino3 milk frother that comes bundled in this starter pack adds hot or cold silky foam at the touch of a button, which brings flat whites, lattes, and cappuccinos into reach without a separate trip to a coffee shop.

Nespresso also runs a pod recycling scheme through Royal Mail and its own boutiques, so the aluminium capsules the machine uses do not have to become landfill, which is a reasonable answer to the most common objection to pod-based brewing.

The honest limitation is that the Vertuo system locks you into Nespresso’s own capsule range, so the freedom you get in cup size and blend variety comes with a dependency on a single supplier for ongoing costs.

A milk frother, six cup sizes, and automatic brewing calibration for £99 is the kind of package that makes the Nespresso Vertuo Pop hard to overlook, and harder still to justify leaving in the basket without buying.

Nespresso Vertuo Pop hero

Fancy to look at and well-priced, the Nespresso Vertuo Pop is a handy Vertuo machine for those that don’t have much space. It makes rich and smooth coffee that equals that from the more expensive Vertuo machines, yet this is a machine of compromises: it doesn’t take regular mugs easily and the small water tank has to be refilled often.

  • Makes great coffee

  • Good value

  • Looks great

  • Small water tank

  • Hard to fit mug under spout

How I rated this deal

The Hisense U6 Pro is a great midrange Mini LED TV that offers a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision IQ HDR, Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound, and built-in Alexa voice controls. The Pantone Validated panel gives you incredibly accurate colors for more lifelike images. And at a discount of nearly 40% on the 75-inch model, you’re getting an excellent value for your next home theater upgrade or second-screen addition. That’s why I gave this deal a 4/5 Editor’s rating.
