Today’s NYT Connections: Sports Edition Hints, Answers for March 31 #554

Well, the purple category on today’s Connections: Sports Edition completely stumped me. (Hint: There’s an acronym in the name of the sport.) I was able to fill in the others (with a few guesses), leaving purple to pretty much fill in by itself.
