<h1>Report: Hundreds of millions of more dollars needed to clean up PFAS-contaminated water in east metro</h1><br /> <p class=”byline”>by MinnPost staff, MinnPost <br />June 23, 2026</p></p> <p><p>A new study contends <strong>hundreds of millions of dollars</strong> are needed – in addition to millions already being spent – to <strong>stop the spread of PFAS chemicals</strong> in groundwater, <a href=”https://www.mprnews.org/story/2026/06/22/controlling-forever-chemicals-in-the-east-twin-cities-metro-will-be-costly” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>MPR News reports</a>.
